Hello. Since I haven't updated my journal in a very long time, I suppose I should say a few things about what I've been doing over the last year. In fall of 2005 I met my best friend Taylor. We actually dated briefly, but decided that we were better off as good friends. After that, he started dating his online buddy Codi and moved to Nebraska to live with her (this was at the end of our semester at Calhoun.) My parents decided that I should try dorm life and I was sent to Wallace State. I don't know how to sum up that experience...my room mate was a preppy druggie and was never in our room after the first few weeks of school. I was put on Prozac, which was a very bad thing. Not that I don't believe in psychiatric medicine, but at the time no one knew I was bipolar...Prozac + bipolar = manic episode. I was on a giant spending spree and on a rollar coaster of delusions and drastic emotions. Needless to say I did terrible in class, which I didn't attend. Then my psychiatrist added an antipsychotic to the mix and medication for ADD. Now the bipolar girl has one correct medicine being canceled out by a stimulant...anyway. In February I met Josh, my current boyfriend. At about the same time, Taylor came home from Nebraska, not because they broke up but because her family basically invited him to leave since he couldn't find a job. So he came back to Huntsville and got two! Taylor went to get her in May and then they got married in June. I took a job in an animal hospital and took two classes all at once and ended up in the hospital. Josh came to see me, and Drew did too. I really needed their support, and it really helped. Taylor's parents came to see me too, Tom and Helene. I got a new doctor and some new medications and have been doing wonderful. Josh moved in with Tom and Helene for about three months and at the beginning of November he got his own efficiency apartment. I've been worrying about the final for human anatomy. I've learned from that class that nursing would not be for me, my calling is psychology, possibly being a counselor. Next semester I take German II, applied mathematics, and public speaking. I'm thinking about transferring to UAH to be in the jazz band program. Well, that's all that's going on with me right now. I'll keep you posted!
